HOW TO SPOT A FAKE SMARTPHONE EASILY

Spotting a fake smartphone in the market is really hard, only those who are tech geeks or phone experts would be able tell if a phone is fake or not. With the rise of different smartphones each day, a lot of people are seeing the need of creating fake smartphones and also mixing them with the original ones since they noticed the mobile market is running very fast and a lot of people cannot live without a phone and also tell if a phone is fake or not, just because they want to make money and also to trick people to think its original not considering the problems for the individual at the end.

The funny thing about these cloned device is that they are fast selling and are designed, built and sold at a cheap rate compared to the original version of the smartphone, and they are even made to look identitical with the original version, making it hard for people to spot the difference between the two.

To be honest with you, I was a victim of these fake phones when I was ten years old but with time I was able to know and identify a fake phone in the midst of the original ones and while I was surfing the web something popes into my mind that prompted me to write this article that will help you identify a fake phone in the market.

How To Tell If A Phone Is Fake

Knowing a fake phone will be easy for you after reading this post but all you will need to do is carefully read this post that contains the things you should try to look out for if you are trying to spot or identify a fake phone;

1. Checking the screen brightness and liveliness;

On normal circumstances, the screen of an original phone is really bright except you decide to low it because of of some reasons but if you ON the phone you want to buy and you find out that the brightness is/was very low even after increasing it then you'll know that the smartphone is fake (like the one in the image above).

2. Reboot the phone and observe/look at/listen to the sound and animation it will give, if it gives that of the original company like Samsung or any other company the its original but if it gives you something different from what was,written or inscribed on the phone then its fake.

3. Check the material used in making the screen;

Before carrying or buying any phone, you should try to touch the screen of the phone to know what material it was made of, if after touching it and it feels like mere plastic then the phone is fake but if it feels more like glass then it's an original phone.

4. Checking the phone settings and looking for 'About Device';

This is also productive, all you need to do is go to Settings and look for 'About Device', if there is no about device then its fake but if there is but no phone version then that phone is also fake.

5. Checking if the phone camera is clear enough like the one specified;

You can't buy an iPhone for instance and be getting a picture quality of 0.3megapixel, its not possible, that's why I advice that when next you go to Phone shop to buy a phone try to check the megapixels of the camera i.e if you go to the market to go and buy an iPhone and you saw 0.3 megapixel at the back of the camera I would advice you to drop that phone because its fake.

6. Check if its able to carry Apk apps and games, if it doesn't then its fake.

7. Checking the distance between the screen and the edge of the phone:

If you find out that the distance from the screen to the edge of the phone is much then the phone is fake.

8. The Price:

This is also another way you can spot if its fake or not because most times these fake smartphones are sold at a very cheap rate than the original one, when next you go a phone shop and you see an iPhone 6 with the tag N 15,000, see......... Run!!!!🏇🏇🏇🏃🏃🏃🏃🚵🚵🚵 .

NOTE: NEVER BUY A PHONE FROM A ROAD SIDE PHONE SHOP BECAUSE MOST OF THEM DO SELL THESE FAKE BRANDS OF PHONE

After following the steps or ways outlined above I guess when next you go to the market you would be able to tell, spot or identify a fake smartphone when you see one.
